2013 Fall Season

We will be playing in the EDDOA Div 1 competitive bracket. We are currently seeded at number 10 for U15 and #1 in the bracket. Last year games started the first weekend in September, so I imagine that is when they will start this year as well.

Practice Schedule

Practice uniform is white training shirt, red shorts, white socks
Regular practice starts the week of Aug. 19th., Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-9 pm.

Game uniforms: Home games are red shirt, red shorts and red socks; away games are white shirt, navy shorts and white socks. Wear the practice shirt for warm-ups before the game. Be at the game at least 45 minutes before game time for warm-ups.

Practice Fields

Aggie Soccer Field: SW of Olsen Field (baseball) and the Softball Complex and SE of Reed Arena; go north on Olsen Blvd. off George Bush Dr. W, which is the first street west of Wellborn Rd.. Parking in either the Olsen Field or Reed Arena parking lots; there is a hefty fine if you don't prepay for the parking.

Sandstone Park on Sebesta Rd. in the Emerald Forest subdivision. If coming from southern College Station on Hwy 6, exit at Emerald Pkwy/FM 2818 and turn right at Sebesta Rd. (in front of a small office complex, before you get to Emerald Pkwy.). If approching from the north on Hwy 6, exit at Emerald Pkwy/FM 2818 and turn left, turn right on Sandstone Dr. (2nd street to the right), then right on Sebesta Rd. (2nd street to the right). FM 2818 turns into Emerald Pkwy at Hwy 6.
Smith Ranch: Google maps: go to satellite view and you can see the fields off Indian Lakes Dr. right after the turn off Arrington Road; both the fields and Elite Software are owned by Bill Smith.

Game Fields

Burroughs in Tomball (9738 Huffsmith Rd.), about 1.25 hours away; field layout. The best way to get there is to go Hwy 6 -> Hwy 105 in Navasota, -> FM 1774 in Plantersville, which becomes Hwy 249 to Tomball, turn left on Zion Rd., left on Hufsmith Kuykendahl Rd., left on Huffsmith Kohrville Rd./FM 2978, turning right to continue on Hufsmith Rd.; to access the fields you turn left on TKC Rd. Don't go this way during the operating hours of the Texas Renaissance Festival (10/6-11/25/2012) as traffic can be at a standstill around the festival site off of FM 1774. Alternate routes: 1) left on FM 2 south of Navasota, right on FM 362, left on FM 1488, then right on TX-249 in Magnolia, continuing with the above directions, about 1.6 hours; 2) instead of turning on FM 1774 off of Hwy 105, continue to FM 1486 and either go to FM 1774 and continue as above or turn on Jackson Rd./FM 149, left on FM1488, right on Spur 149, left on Dobbin Hufsmith Rd., right on FM 2978/Spring Creek, then left on Hufsmith Rd., about 1.75 hours; 3) Hwy 6 -> Hwy 290 toward Houston, exit on FM 2920 at Waller thru Tomball, turn left on Huffsmith Kohrville Rd. and right on Hufsmith Rd., almost 2 hours. Dyess Park in Houston (16822 Kitzman Road, between 290 and Hwy 249 north of Spring-Cypress); 2012 field numbers. It is about 1.5 hours away. Restaurants nearby: Quiznos Subs, burger places (Wendys, Whataburger, Burger King, McDonalds), Sonic, several Chinese food places, Subway, pizza (Dominoes, Little Cesars, Papa Johns, CiCis), Chilis, BBQ. Katy Park in Katy: exit off of Hwy 290 at Katy Hockley Rd and travel south, this road eventually becomes Katy Hockley Cutoff Rd., turn left on Morton Rd., the park is on the right, 24927 Morton Road. Field map: fields 18-21 are in the southwest corner. Rainout number is 281-392-5972.
Lindsey/Lyons Park in Humble, field layout. It is about a 1.5-2 hour drive; the easiest route it 290->Sam Houston Tollway west, go past Hwy 59 and turn left (north) on Wilson Rd., right on Atascocita Rd. (or turn left off the Beltway on Old Humble Rd, and right on Ygnacio Rd). The address is 2310 Atascocita Road, Humble. Rainout number is 281-319-1753. A good nearby hotel is the La Quinta Inn & Suites IAH East.
Meyer Park in Spring, Meyer Park field map (7700 Cypresswood Dr. near Stuebner Airline). Rainout number is 281-320-2211 ext. #3.
Veterans Park in College Station, CS field status. Fields 1-6 named after service branches (Army, Navy, etc.) are closer to Hwy 30. The other fields 7-13 are closer to Hwy 60.
Zube Park in Hockley; exit off Hwy 290 at Katy-Hockley Rd. and turn left onto Roberts Rd.; field layout. Rainout number is 281-469-5539

Houston Open, May 23-24, 2009: lost 3-5 to '00 LSC Sting, tied 2-2 with DTH 99 Sphere, lost 1-8 to DTH 99 Mercury, lost 1-2 to Fusion Green.

Elite Invitational in Austin, Aug. 15-16, 2009: lost 0-1 in the finals to Exodus Firebolts, only team going undefeated into championships; won 4-1 against Exodus Firebolts, 2-0 against DTH 99 Sphere, and 5-0 against Centex Storm SC 99 Cyclone Gold.

Aggieland Friendlies, Aug. 23, 2009: tied 1-1 with DTA Red 99, wining 4-0 against DTA White 99 when game called due to lightening.

Houston Friendlies, Aug. 29-30, 2009: tied DTH 99 Sphere 1-1, tied DTH 98 Velocity 1-1, lost 0-6 to DTH 99 Mercury.

Klein Thanksgiving Tournament, Nov. 28-29, 2009: lost 2-3 to KASC U11G, tied 1-1 with Cosmic Eclipse, lost 2-3 to 98G-02 Parsons (Strikers).

Fall 2009 Division 2 (TYSA): 1/1/0 against our age group, 2 (one by forfeit)/3/0 against 1 year older.

Texan Madness, Houston, Jan. 23-24, 2010: lost in penalty kicks 7-8 to DTA White, won 3-1 against DTH Sphere, lost in penalty kicks 5-6 to Pearland United Fierce.

Aggieland Winter Classic, March 13-14, 2010: lost 1-2 to BVFC Chaos, lost 0-1 to Waco Shooting Stars 00, won 1-0 against Brenham Cyclones 98.

Spring 2010 TYSA Division 2 Champions: undefeated season, only undefeated team.

Spring 2010 South Texas Cup Eastern Division Champions: undefeated in tournament play

Spring 2010 South Texas Cup State: placed 4th.

Houston Open, May 29-30, 2010: lost 2-0 in the final to Mustangs United; won 2-1 against Challenge Blitz 99 Red, tied 0-0 with Mustangs United, and won 2-1 against Challenge Blitz 99 White.

Austin Texans Elite Invitational, August 13-15, 2010: won 3-0 against Centex Storm Cyclone White, tied Boerne Thunder Red 0-0, lost 0-2 against Houston Texans Houston (former DTH Mercury) 2-0; came in 2nd in the bracket.

Texas Warm-up Cup, August 28-29, 2010: tied Challenge Clash 99 white 1-1, won 7-0 against Sugarland Kickers, won 4-0 against Dynamite 99 red, lost in the championship 2-7 against Texans 99G Houston.

Fall 2010 EDDOA Qualifying U12 "C" bracket: 5 wins, 4 losses, 2 ties, 13 goals for (6th), 12 goals against (5th); 5th place out of 12. Fall 2010 record.

Texan Madness, January 22-23, 2011: won in PK against Dynamo Jrs STX GU11, lost in semifinal to Spindeltop SSC Twisters 99G 1-2, won consolation round for 3rd place against FC Dallas Blue in PK. First time to play 11v11.

Aggieland Classic, February 12-13, 2011: tied BVFC Chaos 1-1, lost to Texans Houston 99G 2-0, lost to Centex Cyclone 98 2-1.

Spring 2011 EDDOA Qualifying U12 "C" bracket: 4 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie, 9 goals for (9th), 7 goals against (2nd); 5th place out of 10. Spring 2011 record.

2011 Memorial Day Houston Open: won the championship 4-3 in PK against Texas Rush 99/00 Nike Platinum; won 1-0 against CyFair Cyclones, tied Rush 0-0, won 1-0 against Texans 98 Houston Red.

Texas Warm Up Cup, August 20-21: won against Lonestar 99 Dev South SII 3-0, won against Eclipse 99 White 1-0, tied Lonestar 99 Blue North 0-0, lost to Lonestar 99 Red SAN 1-0.

Austin Labor Day Cup, September 3-5, 2011: Champions of the Gold A division; tied with Lonestars White South 1-1, won against Lonestars Blue North 2-1, tied with Lions Red 0-0, won semi-finals in PK against Challenge Kingwood 5-4 (although that score still hasn't been updated!), won final against Lions Red 2-0.

Fall 2011 EDDOA Qualifying U13 "C" bracket: In 1st round robin 5 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie, 16 goals for (1st), 3 goals against (2nd), 2nd place out of 8; 2nd round robin 1 win, 1 loss, 1 tie, 4 goals for, 2 goals against, 2nd place out of 4. Fall 2011 record.

2012 Texan Madness, January 21-22: U12/13 Champions; won 8-0 against Lufkin Dynamites, won 3-0 against Austin Texans 00G, and won 3-0 against Cyclones.

Spring 2012 EDDOA Qualifying U13 "B" bracket: 1st place: 7 wins (1st), 0 losses (only undefeated team), 2 ties, 21 goals for (1st), 3 goals against (1st), 1st in goal differential by 2x. Spring 2012 record.

Challenge Texas Shootout, June 2-3, 2012: lost 0-2 to Lady Aztecs FC 99, tied 0-0 with Liverpool 99G Daglish, lost to Brownsville United 0-2, lost to FC Dallas Blue South 0-2.

Challenge Texas Warm-up Cup, August 18, 2012: won 3-0 against AHFC 99G Blue W, remainder of tournament cancelled because of rain.

Texans Warm Up Cup, August 25-26, 2012: lost 1-2 to ATSC 99G Red, won 1-0 against LJ Storm G97, won 2-0 against Seabreeze Cyclones.

Fall 2012 EDDOA Competitive U14: 5 wins, 2 loses, 3 ties, 18 goals for (1st), 5 goals against (3rd), 2nd place out of 6. Fall 2012 record.

Texans Aggieland Classic, February 2-3, 2013: tied FC Dallas 99G Black 1-1 and Austin Texans '99G Red 0-0, defeated CE/NBFC 99 1-0. 3rd overall in points.

Challenge President's Day Invitational, February 16-17, 2013: won 1-0 against Challenge 99 South, tied 1-1 with Dynamos 98/99, tied 0-0 with Lonestars 99G Red East SAN, Challenge 99 Kingwood, 4th place finish.

Spring 2013, STYSA Presidents Cup, rough season b/c almost one-third of the team out with injuries, 7th in the A bracket with 1 win, 3 ties and 3 losses, 5 goals for and 7 against. Presidents Cup results.

Aggieland Friendship Cup, Aug 24-25, 2013: lost 1-2 to Lonestars White NTH, tied Lonestars Blue NTH, won 2-1 against Lonestars Red STH.
