May 5th 2007, in backyard in lubbock.

The camera adapter for my EQ-2 arrived and as soon as I mounted the PST on the EQ-2 with it the improvement over the camera tripod and the ST120 rings was a lot. There was some wind, about 10-15 MPH, but I had no trouble staying on the Sun and getting good views. I then got my Nixon Coolpix 5400 and set it up with the MaxView 40. First I focused the PST visually with the MaxView 40, I then connect the MaxView 40 to the Coolpix using the ScopeTronix Attachment Kit. I manually set the shutter speed and exposure, but I left the camera in auto focus macro mode. I then zoomed the lens right up to the maximum. The picture I took of the Sun was at 1/1000 by f4.4 at full zoom, the sun was a little out of focus but the prominences were visible. The image is on by Sun page.
