Setup in the backyard next to the pond 101 55' 03" W 33 35' 03" N. Around 45F started at 9:15pm seeing was around 4.5 Mag at the zenith. Star hopped with the st120 to M36, M37 and M38. I finally made the effort to get the FOV of the 6x28 finderscope (5.5) Star hopping got a little easier with that info. Orion looked good and high so I also looked at M42 and swung over and looked at M45, very nice views could make out the trapezium in M42.
