The Aquarium
The circular cup-shaped object appears highly anomalous. It does not appear to be a crater, unless of a very unusual type for Mars, exhibiting an extremely tall rim above the surface considering the relatively small interior. There appear to be connecting ramps or passageways from the main island to this unusual structure. These may be tunnels which connect the lower platform of the island to the interior of the hollow circular structure. If the ancient ocean surrounded the lower part of this feature, one possible explanation is that it is a very large aquarium, with windows for viewing the undersea Martian lifeforms, such as dolphins, fish and coral reefs. We see possible depictions of a dolphin in the recent Mars Global Surveyor images of the nearby Cydonia region, which also appears to be on the edge of an ancient Martiansea.

The next image is a 4x enlargement that shows the aquarium feature and the nearby platform in more detail.

Radial Complex and Heiroglyphics
The next image shows an unusual structure which lies partially in the shadow that appears to connect the lower landform to the upper hill. The connecting platforms are radial and relatively complex. In the lower shaded area of the image there appears to be heiroglyphic designs. These designs appear in several areas of the image on the sides of the elevated areas and are quite distinct.

The next image is a 4x enlargement. The heiroglyphic like features appear to be an abstract shape of the humanoid form, not unlike the cave drawings on Earth which were created thousands of years ago.
