Blast Mound & Complexes
This area is directly below
the lost or censored area near the bottom of the Cydonia 2 image. The image
on the left was processed directly from the raw data by Anomalous Images
(slw) with additional contrast enhancement used to expand the darker areas,
while the image on the right was processed by Anomalous Images from the
TJP processed image. Both images can be viewed together as a quasi-stereo
image to improve perception of details on most monotors. Clicking on either
images will display a 2x enlargment of the given image.
There are many unusual anomalies
revealed in there images. Bridges, rows of regularly spaced depressions
or canals, a circular 'ampitheater' feature near the base of the mountain
in front of a possible enterance, evidence of mining activity at the top
of the strangely concave mountain, and even a 'face' to the right of the
mountain, in this observer's interpretation can be seen in this anomaly-packed
image, especially in the 2x versions.
The more one looks at these
images, the more anomalous features they reveal. These are not processing
anomalies, but actual features that have been enhanced using common image
processing methods such as contrast enhancement, sharpening filters, and
cubic interpolation. The features shown are real and definitely highlly
anomalous.
