The two images above were created by mirroring the left and right sides of the Face. The two sides have markedly different countenances, with the left side resembling a more humanoid lifeform, while the left appears perhaps more stern and even threatening. The left side faces Cydonia, while the right side may have faced the shore of an ancient sea.

This is a 3d representation of Cydonia and the Face based on MOLA 1/32 degree and Viking maps, facing north, with the sea level set to - 4266 meters. This is the level at the latitude of Cydonia of a feature known as contact two which has been identified by scientists as possibly the location of a shoreline of an ancient northern sea. The Face is to the right of center, while Cydonia lies to the left of center on a peninsula, separated from the Face by the opening of a small bay.
