"Bilderbergers" Meet Near Atlanta, National Media Mum

GAINSVILLE, GA, June 13 - One branch of the One Worlders' "shadow government," the so-called "Bilderbergers," held its 45th annual meeting just outside Atlanta, Georgia, at Lake Lanier Islands, starting on June 13-15, Cyndee Parker, of Atlanta, reported in an e-mail message.

Interestingly, the international, national or Atlanta news media did not report on an event reportedly attended by Hillary Clinton, the Queen of the Netherlands, David Rockefeller, Colin Powell, Henry Kissenger, Sam Nunn, and dignitaries or heads of state from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Turkey, among others, Parker said. =20

Consequently, the local paper, Times in Gainsville, Georgia, "outscooped" the world media giants. Its front page headline was, "White House welcome: First lady exits early; Bilderberg begins."

"First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton left early this morning, after welcoming the world's power brokers visiting Lake Lanier Islands for a weekend of secret meetings," the Times said.

Hall County Sheriff Bob Vass confirmed the first lady's presence at the 45th Bilderberg Meeting at the Islands' Renaissance PineIsle Resort in South Hall County.

"The behind-closed-doors meeting of 120 leaders in international business, politics, media, education and finance will meet today through Sunday to discuss world issues," the Times said. It's Bilderberg Meeting tradition for the host country's head of state or its representative to greet participants. At last year's Bilderberger conference held near King City, north of Toronto, the Canadian Prime Minister, Jean Chretien, for example, was in attendance.

"I really wasn't aware of what a Bilderberg meeting was," Vass told the Times. "I've done a little research, and I've found out they're a pretty distinct group of the world's mover and shakers. I guess we should be honored they chose Hall County for this meeting."

As the limousines rolled onto the Renaissance grounds on June 12, the faces inside couldn't be seen. The window tint was too dark. But the security presence surrounding the resort was enough to indicate that almost one year removed from the Centennial Olympic Games, the world had returned to Georgia.

The members attending the hush-hush conference began arriving the afternoon of June 12, with the resort entrance heavily guarded by Hall County sheriff's deputies and Renaissance security. Georgia State Patrol troopers chauffeured visitors into the cordoned entrance leading to the hotel grounds.

A small group of international protesters also greeted the elite group, questioning the purpose of their conference. They were threatened with arrest if they stepped outside a roped-off area alongside the road.

The group's chairman is Great Britain's Peter Carrington, former Secretary General of NATO. Other international leaders attending included the Queen of the Netherlands; James Wolfensohn, president of the World Bank; and Peter Sutherland, of Ireland, former director general of the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs and the World Trade Organization.

Bilderbergers' spokesman, Charles Muller, told the Times the group would be discussing issues which include China, NATO, Islam, energy, growth and corporate governance.

Muller said the group proposes no resolutions, takes no votes and issues no policy statements. He said barring the public allows members to freely discuss forces and trends that affect Western nations.

But while ensuring the freedom of speech for the elite, the Bilderbergers' security seemingly didn't mind doing it at the expense of other peoples' freedom. Jim Tucker, for example, a freelance news correspondent, covering the event for the Spotlight, found an expensive bugging device stapled into the back of his couch in his hotel room, according to Parker. Although that device was removed, the ones in walls could not be.

Apart from the obvious constitutional violations which are implied from the above actions by the security detail assigned to protect the Bilderbergers, one cannot help but notice the deafening silence in the "establishment" media about an important event like that. Compare their absence of coverage of the June 13-15 Lake Lanier meetings to the media circus surrounding the "G-8" summit taking place a week later in Denver.

And that's "free press" in America?

Frankly, that seems more like another example of how morally and financially corrupt our society has become.

Consider the praise, for example, which David Rockefeller, the Chase Manhattan chairman and the bedrock of globalism, reportedly lavished upon the establishment media at the June 1991 in Baden-Baden, Germany for their betrayal of the American freedoms (of course, he didn't put it that way).

Rockefeller reportedly thanked the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Time Magazine and "other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of descretion for almost forty years."

And counting...

Meanwhile, here is what the veteran Senator Jesse Helms had to say about the organizations, such as the Bilderbergers, in his speech before the Senate on Dec. 15, 1987 (yes, that was nearly 10 years ago, not a typo):

"This campaign against the American people - against traditional American culture and values - is systematic psychological warfare. It is orchestrated by a vast array of interests comprising not only the Eastern establishment but also the radical left. Among this group we find the Department of State, the Department of Commerce, the money center banks and multinational coporations, the media, the educational establishment, the entertainment industry, and the large tax-exempt foundations.

Mr. President, a careful examination of what is happening behind the scenes reveals that all of these interests are working in concert with the masters of the Kremlin (emphasis added) in order to create what some refer to as a New World Order.

Private organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Trilateral Commission, the Dartmouth Conference, the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies, the Atlantic Institute, and the Bilderberger Group (emphasis added) serve to disseminate and to coordinate the plans for this so-called New World Order in powerful business, financial, academic, and official circles..."
