| Earlier hull numbers used a
rinky dink
gas cannister mechanism to supply fuel to the stove top. It was
useless, but before discarding, remove the male quick coupler. It
will fit into a valve available at sporting good stores such as Academy
who sell replacement valves for Coleman stoves. Remove the long
tube from the valve and insert the quick connect. Two Coleman cannisters will store inside the fuel locker even with a six gallon gas tank. One cannister will normally last an 8-10 day cruise. This is a practical way to go especially if one has a gas grill and carry cannisters for it. Cannisters should stored in the gas locker and not left in the cabin after use. I have found that the first click on the valve works best. |
