A proposed use of a bungee section in the topping lift line might produce some interesting results.

• It might eliminate the need to adjust the topping lift during reef sets and shake outs
• It might keep the topping lift from chaffing the m'nsail roach
• It might lift the boom during light air sailing to power the main

It seems worth a try....if any one tries it before I do... please report your impressions...thanks.
