Storage Ideas

Storage on any boat depends on the needs and uses of the boat.  Always necessary is ingenuity to use space wisely and do so in an esthetic manner.  Creativity is so diverse that it is fun to see what others have done, and to borrow ideas leaving most boats probably with a mix of self and other creativity.

Hammock storage seems to be a favorite, I've seen a number of 250s using them.

The 250 does not have adequate galley storage for cruising, here baskets are added on hangers from the liner lip.  Two are reachable from the galley.

The back of the galley door offers room for an add on basket and the suction cup tray. I've one here and one in the head... neither has threatened to fall off and both have been on for years.

A storage unit under the table includes a tray with divider and large drawer.

When cruising and sleeping accomodations are known, the aft berth cushions are removed if not needed... sometimes only the port side to create a quarter berth.  This makes room for large plastic storage boxes and an additional ice chest.

An idea from Ben on Chic-a-pea is this V Peak shelf for reading materiels.  The storage boxes on rails take advantage of unused space.
