  The New Observatory

Here is my New Observatory that house's my 10" Meade

ACF telescope. The dome construction is detailed HERE.

The telescope is mounted on a 12" concrete pier with

a Meade Super Wedge mount for the scope.

Stairs Stairs
I have 2 leveling plates made of 1/2" steel and the base plate is mounted to the pier with (3) 5/8" J-bolts. The top plate which the Meade wedge is mounted on is connected to the base plate with (6) 1/2" bolts and allow the top plate to be leveled.
