The above list predates 1847, because during that year Britton's Store became known as Roxobel and Bethel became Harrellsville. The list must have been compiled after 1841 as prior to that year Saint John was known as Ahosky Ridge --Hotel was founded in 1840. Also, Ashland and Mount Gould are both listed. They were the same post office, as the name of Mount Gould was changed to Ashland on 11 Dec 1841. Thus, I conclude that the above newspaper clipping dates from between 1841 and 1847, and was more likely made during the early part of that period rather than the latter part.
