The Eaton's House

This house is owned and operated solely for the comfort and convenience of Missy the dog. Sissy died in 2004 and several months later we got Maggie.

Maggie Lou only lived on this earth from November 3, 2004 - January 4, 2005 but she will live in our hearts and minds forever. She came into our hearts like a blazing star. But like a shooting star she was gone to soon.

She placed her paw prints all over our hearts and left a void that can never be filled. She loved to play and cuddle.

We wonder why God sometime gives and then soon takes back, some would say that when God needs another beautiful flower for his garden he chooses the most loving and beautiful flower, in this case it was Maggie. We are sure she is in Heaven with our Missy to help guide her. We love and miss her so much.

FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you"

God does not deduct from man's allotted time the hours spent in flying.

HIGH FLIGHT

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds -- and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of -- wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
