Hung and Bi

Howdy

Jeez, what to say? Gotta keep 'em coming, get 'em out by Friday, as Genesis of all people used to say- not listening to them right now, but OLD (74 and back) Genesis actually had the occasional cool song before Phil "I'm too big for my noggin" Collins became big man in their town- but how interesting is I got up, drove to Beckley, came home, worked out, ate, read, went to bed? Dunno, but I'm going to do the best I can with what I've got to work with. All I've ever done. What's Bill drinking? Just boring old Bud, and on a work night too. Doug, sorry about missing the rocket launch last week, just couldn't sell the girls on it. Keep me apprised of your launch schedule, please, I'd genuinely like to go to one. You, uh, can drink beer while you're watching all the rocketry, right? If you knock one of the rockets out of the air with a flung beer can, do you get a prize? What is Bill listening to? The Small Faces greatest hits. If you only know them for Itchykoo Park, you have no idea. These great late 60's mod/pop songs, great organ, great group vocals, great lead vocals- Stevie Marriott before he became Steve of the vastly undervalued Humble Pie- Rockin' The Fillmore fucking defines live 70's heavy rock, I love it, and on a good night, I don't give a shit if I'm bragging, the Tang Spoons fucking HAMMERED "I Don't Need No Doctor", there's people getting this newsletter who'll back me up on this. But we're talking Small Faces. "Afterglow" "Tin Soldier" "Here Comes The Nice" "All Or Nothing" (my favorite- my philosophy). If you have any affinity at all for late 60's Brit music (the post Invasion stuff by a couple years) you really should check them out. Hey, well, one thing that may be new, praise Jesus, I may have a girlfriend. At least I've been out with the same person more than once since you know who in '76. We went to lunch last week, out to dinner this week, have plans to do something, I don't know what (I know what I want to do), this weekend, so far it's pretty cool. I've known her for years (and some of you do as well, not trying to be too coy but I'm gonna keep her name to myself right now). She's bright and good looking, and now a card carrying member of the Bill Bitner is the best kisser in the world fan club. (I fucking am, too). She's also closer to Sarah's age than mine, and how cool is that? I quite enjoy her company, and she seems to enjoy mine, I'm not going to get too worked up about it too fast- but it's been fun so far. All of you good people who said a prayer for my ma and her heart stint surgery back on 1/31, thank you very much, her surgery went well, she's home and doing fine. NOW you can gear up and say a good word for my dad, he's going in this Friday 2/22 for a colonoscopy to check out this blockage he's got, if it's polyps they're going to take them out, if it's some type of tumor they'll schedule surgery for later. Man. Joe said he sent out copies to all of you of the song we did on my new recorder, that I mentioned last H&B- except for me and Kathy, for some reason MSN wouldn't accept it-somebody get back to me please and let me know if you got it. Don't have to critique it unless you want to, just let me know if it came through. We put another song in the old recorder last Saturday, me and Joe and the girls, and had a fine time doing it. I'd say me and the girls are the new Partridge family, which I guess makes Joe, Rufus, or whatever the fuck his name was. The song was "For The Gone", another acoustic wonder, with some sweet backing vocals by the girls, and some first year flute by Rachie. Yeah, it was one of my songs, and someone played flute on it. But it was a dirty flute, okay? Gonna do a nice insane feedbacky one by myself next day or two, cacophony with recitation, "We Found It On Venus" (but we shouldn't have BROUGHT IT BACK). Joe needs to show me how to load this shit on so as I finish them I can inflict them on you guys myself. I want a movie club at my house. I NEED a movie club at my house. How about either 3/2 or 3/16? Only DVD's I have are Yokahama Death Match (That's FMW, not the old IWA Death Match stuff referred to a couple issues back) and Lady Frankenstein- "only the monster she made could satisfy her strange desires"- well, no kidding- so we may need to rent some. All right, going to close this with some individual requests (we'll see who's paying attention)-

Geri, Jean Ann, Martha- I miss you guys, e-mail me and let me know what's up with you

David- did you get that stuff I sent you? Let me know. Also, I was in Hinton yesterday, the New River looked wonderful, we've got to get together and plan some fishing trips

Movie Club (you know who you are)- get back with me about which date works for you, I really want to have a bang up movie club out here next month with serious refreshments and everything

Mark- when in March are you coming back to Escapes? Let me know, I'll be there, hopefully not as drag ass (though I think I hung like a trooper considering how tired I was).

Ron, Jeff- are you guys getting these? I'm getting tons of feedback from everybody but you two, who haven't responded at all. You're like the quiet kids at the back of the room. I don't give a shit whether you pass your test or not, I just want to make sure you're listening to the lecture.

Cold skin like mud, hot glue for blood,

Bill
