From: National Wrestling Network <nwnpro@yahoo.com> Right now, we've got some backyard smarks bringing their gear across the Ohio River to play in OUR yard, breaking KENTUCKY Athletic Commission rules, taking OUR citizens' hard-earned money, giving THEM substandard shows, then taking back off across the River with a smirk on their faces. It's time that "smirk" was wiped off! WE ARE TAKING BACK OUR AREA ... PERIOD!!! If you notice, I've included a couple of them in the email addresses. It's about time they learned what true professionals think of them. First, let me say that if any of you respected and reputable workers are looking for quality for your shows, you need go no further than Bobby Blaze. This man has put his time into this industry, done more for it than these out-of-state amateurs ever could dream of doing, virtuallly single-handedly put Ashland on the wrestling map, and is as professional and true as they come! Wayne and Jimmy, there's the talent you can use, and I highly recommend him!! Of course, when NWN hits, I will definitely want to work, and work with, him. (and if he ever wants me for a show, I'm there! It's always a pleasure!) I guarantee, you'll be totally satisfied. If you know of a promoter that needs someone of his calibre, give Bobby's name!! Secondly, I'll say that an investigation is ongoing here in Ashland (this from the City itself) concerning the validity of the "other" organization's shenanigans, and they' re not too thrilled with what they're finding! I know that Donna in Frankfort is keeping a super-close eye on them, as well. I worked with them for a month, and already know a great deal about their tactics. They are, in all fairness, simply backyarders, and nothing more. Thirdly, the only way that I see to actually handle this, outside of what the Commission and local authorities are investigating, is to simply call them out: OCW, show us your bookings for the past year. What other orgs and history can we rely on to give us a good background on your workers? Did you work for WCW? WWE? IPW? Go to Japan? Work Smoky? What's your name work rate? Lastly: None of us who are professionals in this industry should have to put up with this type of nonsense. Bobby has always ... and again I'll say, ALWAYS ... put his best forward in every aspect of wrestling. He is a class act, in and out of the ring. He literally revitalized the sport in this area ... and deserves the support and respect of every worker who's set foot inside the squared circle here in Ashland!! As NWN is wrapping up negotiations with a new investor and planning a launch shortly, I can guarantee that it's an honor to work not only with Bobby but also with you all who are professionals in this sport; that it's even more of an honor to bring true, professional wrestling back here, family-oriented and respectable!

As some will know I have ran Ashland, KY since Thur. May 12, 1994 in front of a $3,000 house or roughly 500 paying fans at $6.00 a ticket. A backyard group now runs this town and have killed my area. They have false advertised and disrespected me, our business, and everyone of you that try to do your job as professionals, which they are not. I can only wish that if your a promoter that reads this ,PLEASE BOOK ME against any of the guys involved w/ this group. They claim to be tough or hardcore, but they have never been trained and believe me, if I ever had the chance to be in a ring w/ any one of them, I'd show them all about their so called hardcore antics and phony fights, you can rest assured that it will be their last "performance." BUT THIS ISN'T ABOUT BACKYARD ASSHOLES, IT'S ABOUT PROFESSIONALS, AND THOSE INTERESTED IN MAKING MONEY IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. While in Japan, several of the groups there work together as opposed to working against each other. It's all about trained talent. There are 27 companies in that country and they all do good business, and there's really only one big one here and several others trying to make it, but there's a shitload more ripping people off. We can make this happen. In Japan they don't tear down others posters or mention guys that work for other companies and make challenges, especially when the guy is in another town trying TO MAKE A LIVING FOR HIS FAMILY. It's just so disrespectful. Now I know nothing is older than yesterdays newspaper SO YOU CAN SAY, that's the former Smoky Wrestling Champ, the old NWA jr heavyweight in 1993 or they guy that went on to WCW or the one that has wrestled on 5 of the 7 continents, and that's a shoot, thinking I'm bitter or upset, but that's the fartherest thing on my mind, I'M ABOUT THE FUTURE THE FUTURE OF US ALL AS PROFESSIONALS. This is to anyone of you, whether your full time, part time, a ref, a mgr, a promoter, a fan. I have been in this business since 9-11-88 and went full time 7-4-91 and worked full time 10 years, a long run in this day and time. Please don't accept bookings from these backyard wrestlers no matter what the pay. You have only lowered yourself to their shit level standards. LET'S WORK TOGETHER!!! Get these marks and smarks out of our business. In one mere booking you may have killed a guys town or his livelyhood. ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DOESN'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN.
