Celebrating Janet Celebrating Life

In 1974 as we were preparing for our wedding we needed to find a song for our first dance. The popular songs at the time were Ebb Tide, More, Till, etc. We wanted something unique. I had an album by the Ray Conniff singers with a song called Someone. After listening to it a couple of times Janet agreed that this would be our song. Now the task was to get the sheet music to give to the band that was playing at our reception. After striking out at the local music places Janet wrote to the record company. A few weeks later we received a hand written score with a note "Good Luck" from Ray Conniff.

The church's soloist at our wedding agreed to sing it for us, though at a slower pace.

Our life together was always about us. As Janet was suffering the side effects of her cancer meds she would tell me "I'm doing this for us."

This is my tribute to "us." Click here for someone  Have your sound on

Janet's funeral mass was held at the same church where we were married. Click here to see the eulogy Janet'sEulogy.pdf

Several people have asked "what was Janet's favorite charity?" If you have followed Janet's Caringbridge you know that she had a connection with Chris and Dena Battle. Chris lost his fight with kidney cancer in 2013. Dena has continued the mission of finding a cure by starting an organization KCCure. Below are some links to pages at that sight.
