Former Lawrence County Resident Died November 15
Henry Cravens (colored) aged 83, died in Kansas City, Mo., November 15, at 11:30 a.m. He had lived in Lawrence County during his entire lifetime until a few years ago when he moved to Kansas City. He was a retired farmer and had been a member of the Baptist Church for 60 years.
Surviving are two sons, Ray Cravens of Kansas City, Mo., and Junios Cravens of San Francisco, Calif,; three daughters, Piccola Collins, Clister Rowells and Chestine Henderson of Kansas City; three brothers, Joe Cravens of Springfield, Mo., Thurman Cravens of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Finis Cravens of Festus, Mo.; one sister Ava Sloan of Black Rock; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services were Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Higginbotham Chapel. J.J. Ford of Batesville was the minister. Interment was in Scott Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service.
