Prospective 9th Graders in 2010-11 Prepare for Block Schedules The Louisiana Department of Education is implementing changes to graduation requirements for students who will be starting high school in 2010-11. Students will now be required to complete 24 Carnegie Units instead of 23, and the Graduate Exit Exam will be phased out in favor of End-of-Course tests in English II, English III, Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, and US History. To accomodate these changes and provide students the opportunity to earn more Carnegie Units (up to 32), all high schools will move to an A-B block schedule for the upcoming school year. Parents of students in the 8th grade SAFS program and Transition programs are asked to watch the following videos. This text will be replaced
