| Sixth Grade Urges Campus to "Go Green" Academic Recovery and Career Discovery Center is participating in the Telephone Book Recycling Project sponsored by Shreveport Green. Our sixth grade students attended the Telephone Book Kick-Off on January 20, 2010. The Shreveport Opera Express previewed their new traveling show on recycling. Then, the students competed in a telephone book toss, a book balancing relay, and a find it in the phone book challenge. The sixth graders were victorious. They brought home the Grand Prize! Since attending the Kick-Off, they have advertised for the project by handing out flyers and making announcements to remind our campus about our commitment to making our school a Green school. |
