The General Motors Corvette Assembly
Plant has changed their work schedule during our Labor
Day Celebration in order to accommodate more of our
Corvette enthusiasts. The plant will now be open
and operating Tuesday through Friday, September 1-4.
The plant will be closed on Monday, August 31. Tours
will be running continuously during the festivities.
"The event attendees are
our customers and supporters so it was only natural that
we make every effort to accommodate them during this
special occasion," said Paul Graham, Plant Manager.
Remember to purchase your tickets in advance
and check
the website for updates and a review of the 'what to
wear and what not to bring' information. For those of
you visiting the plant on Friday, please be sure to
express your gratitude to plant employees for changing
their schedule.

we have several upcoming raffles to make you
pine for a new ride! Thursday, August 13
we will be drawing a winner for our 2010 Cyber
Gray Coupe, a raffle limited to 500 tickets at
$250 each. The following week, August 20,
is your chance to own a 2010 Crystal Red Grand
Sport and is limited to 500 tickets at $450
each.
Labor Day weekend we will be
giving away three beautiful Corvettes, plus two
cash drawings for those who enter our raffle for
the special 15th Anniversary Grand Sport.

week's Build Your Own Z06 Winner, Cobb Barksdale
from Acworth, GA. He had ticket number
051. He was thrilled to be the winner.
"Oh my God, are you serious!?!", was
his first reaction. Cobb has never been to
the Museum and has never owned a Corvette
before, but has recently been looking for one.
He has decided that winning a raffle is the best
way to get a new Corvette.
He currently drives a Camaro
and hangs out with a Camaro club and sometimes
with a Corvette club. He said the Corvette
group is a lot of fun and he has wanted to be a
part of that.

build sheet for any Corvette assembled in
Bowling Green since the GM Plant opened in 1981
through the National Corvette Museum’s Library
and Archives? The Library also has
window stickers for your ride.
Those who order a build sheet, window sticker,
dealer brochure and Black Book will receive a
$5.00 discount!

What’s a visit to the National Corvette Museum
without a stop in our 50’s themed diner, the
Corvette Café? The Café has added
several new items since first opening, including
buffalo chicken wraps, buffalo chicken salad,
scones (blueberry, apple cinnamon and white

The Museum's new displays are getting
their final touches and we need YOUR help! A new
section focusing on Corvette Enthusiasts is
being installed between where our crash test car
is and the Skydome. This area features people
like you, fans of the Corvette. We are in need
of the following items:
- Videos of auto cross, drag
racing, HPDEs, and time trials…you having fun
in your car. Could include videos from
inside your Corvette.
- Video of Corvette fanatic garages: Not only
showing off your garage, but telling us about it
sort of like an editorial story.
- Testimonial type video about how you have
changed your lifestyle or something about your
life to focus on the Corvette.
- Photos of winners at club car shows
- Cool license plates
