Community Projects

MAY TRAIL RIDE BONANZA!!!!

Get to know your public lands by joining the CTAHC on a benefit trail ride at Lake Meredith Recreation Area

This event will raise money to bring a permanent water source to the Plum Creek Camping Area.

♦ Devil’s Canyon- A 2 hour ride along the Canadian River. A rocky trail with pretty vistas, river views and meadows.


♦ Sunflower Alley- A 2 hour ride through various terrain with short climbs, sandy trails, and grassy meadows. Wildflowers too! 


♦ Tenderfoot- A 2 hour ride to Upper Plum Creek Camp.  This ride is on a dirt road with easy climbs and pretty views. 

DATE: Saturday, May 2nd, 2009      TIME: First ride LEAVES at 10:00am!!

COST:
$30.00 for adult riders with lunch included
(Register before April 20th for a $5.00 discount!!)
$50.00 Family ticket lunch included
Lunch: $6.00 per plate

Don’t know the way???  Caravan to Plum Creek by meeting at the Cowboy Church on Washington @ 7:30am or meet at River Road High school @ 8:00am.

Many club members participate in activities to share their enthusiam for the Arabian horse with people in and around the Amarillo area. Libraries in Amarillo and outlying areas have been the setting for many of these activites.

The latest project creates an additional opportunity to reach
the children in the Panhandle area.
The Black Stallion Literacy Project
brings fun learning activites to first graders,
as well as a chance for them to learn about
horses and see them up close.
