Day 1
Sunday, March 8, 2009
Hello, We are sitting in our hotel (Marriot at George Bush Int. Airport in Houston) lobby waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to Galveston. We are excited and hungry. We were going to eat at the Hotel but it was too expensive so we left ($11.00 French toast)
The hotel is nice and clean the staff is friendly it is just a little isolated being right at the airport. The shuttle drivers are a little crazy and we felt like we were in the Indy 500 race going to the mall. The people are friendly here. We went to Deer Brook mall and ate at the food court it was ok. That mall is in Humble and is comparable to our mall a very diverse group of people it was cool. But no new exotic stores. That evening we went back to the mall and watched a movie called Taken it was ok I give it 3.5 stars of 5. Then we went and ate at Luby’s aka Luly’s in Arlen and Mc Manerberry. Well we are going to head back over to the terminal where our bus is waiting for us. So TTFN.
Here it is later in the evening 8:25pm to be exact. We have eaten a couple of times and walked around the ship and watched as we sailed away. Our cabin had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries when we got to our room from the regional representative that we met at a cruise seminar how cool is that? It is night time now and we are sitting in our cabin. Jamie is playing with the camera and taking pictures of herself.
We walked all over the ship and went and watched some Karaoke. The host was good He made everyone dance before they sang. If they couldn't dance he would say You're so white. Some people could really sing but most not so much. We had midnight pizza and are really tired good night and we Love everyone and miss you all so much.
Day 2

HELLO . We just got back from the Vegas style show called point and click it was ok. The lead female singer stole the show she could belt one out. We watched the ice carving demo this afternoon and it was cool he made a nesting swan. We sat in the sun on deck and relaxed we got just a little burned. We didn’t usesun block shame on us. We also got our pictures made. We should be able to pick them out tomorrow if they came out good. Our towel animal today was an elephant. We took pictures of him Jamie fell in love. Yesterday we got a Walrus and I accidentally kicked him off the bed and totally destroyed him. We have been taking the stairs in an effort to not to gain 50 pounds. FOOD everywhere but we are doing good and not making total hogs of ourselves. For dinner I had stuffed mushrooms and prime rib, medium rare of course and mom had strawberry bisque and spaghetti carbonara. For dessert I had cherries jubilee and mom had the chocolate melting cake. We will finally get to Montego Bay, Jamaica tomorrow. We are going to go Jamaican bobsledding, ride a chair lift 700 feet into the jungle rainforest canopy and zip line through the jungle. The bobsledding is 3,280 feet long through twists and turns. We will take a lot of pictures.
Day 3
March 10, 2009, 9:04 AM
So here we are. We got up early this morning and showered and got ready for our day in Jamaica we were looking at the miles we had left till we got there and we couldn’t figure out how we were going to make it by 9 am. We went and ate some breakfast talked about what we should wear and where we were going to go. So I’m thinking well maybe they don’t observe daylight savings time and we will arrive at 10am, but to be sure, I call the information desk and I ask when do we arrive in Jamaica she tells me 9 am tomorrow.
So me and mom laugh about it and now we are planning our day at sea LOL.

At dinner I had warm fig, date and cinnamon cake with rum raisin ice cream mmmmmmmm. The seas got a little more choppy and the boat is rockin and rollin still no sea sickness. We are looking forward to talking to the kids this evening. We are excited about Jamaica tomorrow it is going to awesome. 211.8 nautical miles to go we are traveling 18.6 knots and our heading is112.9 degrees. We saw a sail boat with the binos it was neat I couldn’t get a pic because it was too dark to see. We will definitely have to take a family cruise. The kids would love it!!!!!!!! The ship is swaying quite a bit today. We took awesome pictures last night. I didn’t know we could look so good. I think the photographer had a trick camera to make you look better than you really do. HaHa!!!!!!
