Gregory, William R., 77, of Paden City, WV died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at home.

Bill was born in Patton, PA on October 23, 1933.

He was a retired electrician from Tyler Board of Education; past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler of the Sistersville Elks, member of Paden City American Legion Post No. 86, an avid gardener and reader, large supporter of the Paden City Wildcats and River Pilots, founding member of the Paden City Little League; he loved his family dearly and was a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Gregory (2004); mother, Anna Kehrer Manley; maternal grandparents who raised him and whom he affectionately called mom and dad, Wm “Utica” and Helen Kehrer; brother, Charles Gregory; step-parents, Jack and Ethel Manley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Elmina Lapp and an infant grandson.

Surviving are a son, William Gregory of Paden City, WV; five daughters, Jo Anna Filliez of New Martinsville, WV, Susan (Dave) Cosper of Paden City, WV, Carolyn (Michael) Flannery of Hannibal, OH, Debbie (Jim) Allen and Amy (Eric) Weber both of Paden City, WV; two brothers, Jack (Rose Marie) Manley of Pittsburgh, PA and Joe (Pat) Manley of Spokane, WA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rex (Shirley) Lapp of Middlebourne, WV; fourteen grandchildren, Jamie (Jeremy) Byers, Jessica Filliez, David (Anna) Cosper, Wes Cosper, Joey and Lauren Flannery, Mike, P.J., Craig and Marcus Allen and E.J. and Hope Weber; great-grandchildren, Ashylnn, Kyle and Brayden and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends received 6-9 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City friends will then be received from noon until time of service at 1 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2010 with Rev. Colleen Griffith officiating.

Interment at Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

The Honor Guard of Sistersville, Paden City, and New Martinsville will conduct full military graveside rites.
