The FBADL Finals is a competition between the best team of the East and the best team of the West, and from the very start, fans weren't disappointed. It became a back and forth affair, as one team scores, the other replies in kind. The first quarter alone saw four different lead changes, and by the end of the first quarter, the Idaho Mounties had just a three-point lead over the Halifax Schooners. The second quarter was more or less the same, but with Halifax gaining the upperhand. A 7-0 run extended Halifax's lead by 10 in the middle of the quarter, but the Mounties finally fired back and by halftime, they trailed by just one point.

The second half was a slugfest of rough defensive stops from both teams, and they only managed to score 15 points each, the lowest for both in a quarter for the entire game. Neither team could find momentum enough on their offense to gain much footing ahead of the other, and with ten seconds left in the fourth quarter, Halifax held just a two point lead. The Mountie's team captain, Sashca Selanne, let the ball roll across halfcourt before finally grabbing it to resume the countdown of the clock. Swarmed by a double-team of Fit Nomello and Xavier Cross, Sascha desperately lobbed the ball and teammate Alexander Yang caught it with just two seconds left in the game. From four feet beyond the arc, he quickly turned and jumped, shooting the ball in a long arch... and the home crowd cheered loudly as the ball swished through the hoop cleanly. The Halifax Schooner players look on in disbelief as the victorious Mounties crowded around Yang and lifted him up onto their shoulders in celebration.

Alexander Yang became POTG with 17 points, a perfect 3 for 3 from behind the arc, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

Mounties lead the series 1-0.
