Hi, classmates and friends!! Where have the last 50 years gone!?! I'm really looking forward
to our Reunion where we can "catch up."

After CHS graduation in 1960, I attended Park College in Missouri for 2½ years and then
attended the Washington Semester at the American University in Washington, DC. Wes and
I married June 9, 1963, and he accepted a job at OSU - so in 1964 I finished my BA (and MS
the following year) at OSU.

We lived in several Oklahoma towns as Wes established a homebuilding/land development
company. After our second child was born, we moved to Ada where we lived for 20 years
(1971-1991) and adopted a 15-year-old girl as our third child. I taught Political Science at
East Central University most of that time and later enjoyed Chairing the department our
last five years there. Wes was a Member of the U.S. Congress from 1977-1991, so the entire
family "politicked" a lot.

Wes voluntarily left the House of Representatives in 1991, and we moved to Stillwater where
we live now. All three of our children, my Mom and Dad, and my brother and sister-in-law
(John and Janie Escott Rogers) also moved to Stillwater, so we have a clan here (though my
Mom and Dad are no longer living). Wes was re-elected to his old U.S. House District and
served from 1996 to 2003. Supposedly he is retired now, but somebody needs to explain
"retirement" to him.

Most of my time is spent attending OSU activities and the activities of our 4 precious
grandchildren. For the past 12 years, I've served on the Board of Regents for the OSU/A&M
(land grant) Colleges and Universities - a real labor of love! Wes and I and son Wade and
daughter Sally and their families live on Peaceable Acres Road on the north edge of
Stillwater. Daughter Martha and her family live at their ranch at Lela (about 18 miles
away).

Your bios have been wonderful to read, and I look forward to others as they are posted. And
I'm VERY much looking forward to our Reunion and am grateful for all who are helping
plan it! Hope to see you soon!!
