History of the Tiger Head
Class Ring

The genuine black onyx stone in the
10 carat gold setting represents the
school colors of orange and black.
In the gold square is the Tiger
which is the symbol of the athletic
club of C.H.S. The small links
which form a chain around the square
represent the passing classes. On one
side of the ring is an oil derrick which
symbolizes the local oil
territory. The other side of the ring
has a covered wagon indicating the
school is located in the sooner state.
1960 marks the 34th year of Cushing
High School students wearing this
design.
