Bob & Mary Bruggeworth, John & Barbara Harris, Wayne & Kay Massetti, Larry & Betty Knapp, Jim & Ellen Pettigrew, Harvey Pye & Cindy Snyder, Gene & Judy DuPree, and Joe Barin & Elsie Moore spent the week of May 19 at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn on Ocracoke. Gus & Mary Villanova stayed through Wednesday. Three boats made the crossing: Bob Bruggeworth and Larry Knapp on the Old Salt, John Harris and Gene DuPree on the Joba3; and Jim Pettigrew and Wayne Massetti on the Melinda. Both trips took about 3 1/2 hours because (as usual) the weatherman was wrong. |
They had a great dockside BBQ Monday night with Jim & Judy Cline joining the group from a nearby campground. |

| Competitive fishing from the dock was Tuesday's activity with spot, pinfish, croaker, and flounder being targeted. |

| Wednesday's trip to Teach's hole began well enough. The first sign that the day would be "different" was a visit by the Marine Patrol to check everyone's Fishing Licenses and request a peek into the coolers. Oddly enough each boat suggested that the officer check that boat "over there." Following the inspection, the previous night's power outage took its toll when the Old Salt's batteries couldn't start the engines. Joba3 was off to the rescue and all were back at the dock well before cocktail hour. |

| Many local eateries were visited including Howard's Pub, the Cafe Atlantic, the Jolly Roger and others. |

| On Wednesday the group went fishing inshore at Teach's hole. Finally, a productive day of trolling for Spanish Mackerel offshore took place Thursday when the weather finally cooperated. |
