Section 2:  Cosmology:

The cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB) was discovered in 1965 by radio astronomers Arno Penzias (1933- ) and Robert Wilson 2 (1936- ), who together shared one-half of the 1978 Nobel Prize in Physics for making the discovery.3 The omnipresent CMB is an energetic phenonemon within which all particulate matter is immersed. The Big Bang theory of cosmology 4 postulates that the CMB is radiant energy left over from the birth of our material universe in an extremely high temperature dispersal of a very large amount of matter which was originally confined, or condensed, in a very small space. While possible only in a pre-existing closed or isolated (conservative) material system, and offering no hypothesis concerning the physical process or processes by which the original mass of condensed matter came into being, the Big Bang theory is considered by many to be "an apparently valid description" of our material universe.

Interestingly, both the recent discovery of the universal principle of energy and The Energetic Holographic Paradigm (TEHP) model of physical reality just-as-it-is point directly to an energetic, closed (conservative) nonmaterial spacetime continuum which contains macroscopic and microscopic open (nonconservative) material systems as the cosmological model which definitively describes our finite, local material universe.
