Footsteps

The ongoing struggle
between ego
and egolessness
transcends
the famous battles
at Kurukshetra
and ancient Gibeon.
Happily,
even with no
learned charioteer
to instruct one,
no powerful mentor
to stop
the movement
of the sun,
one may implement
the rationality
of Epictetus
and the egoless
neurospiritual
attunement
of Shakyamuni
to facilitate
emancipation
from the bondage
of deceitful ego;
one may give heed
to the echoless
footsteps
of the ubiquitous
existential dragon
and follow
egoless pathways
to remember
and regain
unconditioned
Pure Consciousness,
uncreated
absolute
Pure Being.
