Typically, every meeting opens
with a brief presentation of club business. It's standard - though
relaxed - parliamentary procedure to inform the body of any decisions made
by the club officers, allow member votes, and the handling of any "formal"
procedures. This usually does not take more than ten minutes or so.
Next the slides and prints submitted
by club members are viewed, judged and critiqued for the monthly competition.
Members are not required to submit photos, but most do. More information
about the competition is available on the home page.
Programs are presented as available.
Members are encouraged to present to the body any area that they may have
experience in and we have had some excellent presentations. Occasionally
a professional or an amateur from outside of the club will come and demonstrate
something that he or she does. We welcome anyone to contact us if
they think that have something that they could share with us. We
are always eager to learn.
