HPLGA 2014 Annual Awards Luncheon Taberna Golf and Country Club November 20, 2014 |

BOD Members Present: President, Ruth Swank; Vice-President, Emily Helling; Treasurer, Sandy Perry; Secretary, Linda Lelli; 18 Hole Tournament Chairperson, Sharon Henke; 9 Hole Tournament Chairperson, Carole Trabold. Guest: Dan Argentieri, General Manager of Harbour Pointe Golf Course and PGA Professional. President, Ruth Swank, called the meeting to order at 11:30 am. She thanked Karen, Meyer and her Awards Luncheon Committee for their work and organization. Acknowledgement and thank you was also given to Joan Taylor for her creation of the colorful threefold program that was provided at each table. Finally Ruth also thanked all members who had volunteered in any capacity during the 2014 tournament season. Minutes from the last general business meeting were not read since all members were provided a copy via e-mail prior to this meeting. Treasurer’s report was not given. The year end report will be posted once the books are closed for the 2014 tournament season. President, Ruth Swank, spoke briefly concerning the HPLGA participation in the upcoming Fairfield Harbour Holiday Parade. A meeting scheduled for November 11th was cancelled as it was deemed unnecessary. Ruth asked that anyone willing to provide a golf cart to please contact Emily Helling. For all those willing to participate, the dress for the event will be golf casual, preferably with some Christmas colors included. A signup sheet was also passed around asking for help with post parade food which the Fairfield Harbour Parade Committee is planning to provide at Red Sail Park . Tournament Chairpersons for 18 Hole and 9-Hole golfers, Sharon Henke and Carole Trabold, respectively, then presented the end of the year awards which were gift certificates. Winter Thursday golf will begin Thursday, December3, 2014. Member, Pam Ferrell, has volunteered to organize the Thursday winter golf this year and stated that it will be a 10:00 shotgun each week. Unless otherwise notified by the Harbour Point Management. President, Ruth Swank, then called upon Cindy Pellegrini, the 2014 Nominating Committee Chairperson. Cindy presented the following slate of Officers for the 2015 HPLGA Tournament year: President: Jan Meehan Vice President: Susan Mathis Treasurer: Patti Dalton Secretary: Linda Lelli 18 Hole Tournament Chairperson: Sue Layton, assisted by Judy Gurley 9 Hole Tournament Chairperson Carole Trabold, assisted by Britt Bendy There were no additional nominations from the floor so the secretary called for a vote and the vote was unanimous. President, Ruth Swank, then passed on the gavel to newly elected President, Jan Meehan. Lunch was then served. At the conclusion of the meal, Guest, Dan Argentieri, spoke briefly about the year ahead for Harbour Pointe Golf Course. He also thanked all the members for their continued support of the golf club. There being no further business motion was made by Jackie Hice to adjourn and motion was seconded by Ellen Keane. The meeting was adjourned at 1:20 pm. Respectfully submitted,
