POLICIES

1.      Dues are payable by December 1st.  Anyone joining after June 30th will be assessed prorated annual dues..

2.  Any HPLGA@FH member may request to be placed on the BOD’s agenda by contacting any BOD 
                 member.  Guests may be asked to attend for a specified   period     but then will leave before the
                 BOD resumes its business for the day.  All decisions and delegation of authority will be performed
                 by the BOD.

3.   BOD policy regarding voting for elections:  If no competition on slate of      officers,voting may be done by a show of hands at a general membership meeting.  If more than one person is nominated for an office, voting shall be done by written ballot at a general membership meeting.

.           4.  The HPLGA@FH Treasurer will post up-dates regarding the status of the Treasury.

      5.  All expenditures/refund requests must be accompanied with a receipt or invoice  before the Treasurer will disburse payment to the HPLGA@FH member or vendor.

6.  Additional subsidizing for any HPLGA@FH budgeted activity is at the discretion and approval of
            the BOD.

            7.  All monies from the HPLGA@PH 50/50 drawings and fund raisers will be deposited in the treasury
            to be used at the discretion of the BOD.

            8.  The finished edition of the HPLGA@FH membership yearbook will be reviewed  by the
            Tournament Chairperson prior to going to press.  The Handbook Chairperson may choose to meet
            with the BOD for suggestions as to what could be included in the book.

9.      In the event of the death of a member or a member’s spouse, the Sunshine Committee will send a sympathy card and arrange for the Treasurer to make a $25.00 donation in memory of the individual to a charity of the family’s choice.  Cards will be sent only to members in the case of illness.  The Sunshine Chairperson should notify the membership by e-mail of a significant illness or passing of a former member.  No card will be sent from the HPLGA@HP

10. Committee chairpersons will receive packets to keep a history of their event, Costs, etc.

11.  Committee chairpersons are to keep the BOD informed of event decisions and progress.

12. Members who place a reservation for a special/specific tournament and/or eating event may cancel up until the date final figures, which includes their attendance, are given to the caterer, etc.  No refunds will be made after that date.

13.  To be eligible for the Association Champion or Most Improved Player Award, a member must have competed in at least 50% of the Association play days for the current year, excluding mixers and canceled play days.

14. .The BOD Secretary will email to the BOD members the meeting minutes within five (5) days of the last meeting.  The BOD members will have five (5) days to reply to the Secretary with any corrections or additions.  The Secretary will email finalized minutes to all BOD members within two (2) days.

15.  Social Membership is available for a person who does not play golf but wishes to attend social events of the HPLGA for the current yearly fee.
