Huntsville UU Services
Sunday, December 9, 10:30 a.m., Laura Chapel at HMH Dr. Frank Schulman's sermon topic is "Why We Need Christmas." Dr. Shulman says: "Christmas is the high point in the year. No other time is the occasion of such joy. Yet there is a lot about Christmas that is fake and it has pagan origins. And lots of people are sad at Christmas. But with it all Christmas is necessary in our lives. As Voltaire said about God, if it didn't exist someone would have to invent it. So let's see why we need Christmas." The Ancient Reading on Sunday will be Matthew 1: 18-25; the Modern Reading, "To Jesus on His Birthday" by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Sunday, December 23:
