Sunday, January 13, 10:30 a.m., Laura Chapel at HMH
Dr. Frank Schulman's sermon topic is "Sentimentalism."
Dr. Shulman says: "Sentimentality is a literary vulgarity involving the
excessive use of emotion. It's sort of a petty crime in grammar. Yet its
opposite, coldness of heart, is worse. Let's think about sentimentalism, so
valuable that life without it is a mistake. In religion it is everything."
