Huntsville UU Services
Sunday, June 9, 10:30 AM, Laura Chapel at HMH:
Dr. Frank Schulman's sermon will be "Why Pray?"
Dr. Schulman says, "It would be an unusual worship service that did not include prayer.
We take prayer for granted. But why do we pray? What do we expect it to do for us?
Prayer is a powerful resource of strength and guidance, used well; used badly, it is
a cause of self-deception and a way of avoiding duty. How can prayer be used wisely?"
Ancient Reading: Luke 18: 9-14
Modern Reading: "Prayer" by James Montgomery
Please note that during June, July, and August, we have
a church service on the second Sunday of each month and no service on the fourth Sunday.
We welcome new members Brenda Barr, Thomas Jones, and Carla
McAdams to the Huntsville UU Fellowship!

Culp. Fulghum is best known for his book All I Really Need to Know I Learned
in Kindergarten. We need a volunteer host/hostess for the July meeting of the
UU Book Club. Please call Beth Williamson at 295-3170 if you would be willing to
have book club at your home.
