Huntsville UU Services

Sunday, December 8, 10:30 AM, Laura Chapel at HMH:

Dr. Frank Schulman is preaching. His sermon title is "Which World Would You
rather live in?" In his notes about the sermon, Dr. Schulman says:
"Christmas is more than a time to celebrate, more than a time for office
parties and eggnog. It is more even than a time for religious renewal.
Christmas confronts us with a choice, a choice we shun most of the year in
the press of more urgent matters. The choice we must make at Christmas is,
which of two worlds would you rather live in? Put differently, what kind of
person do you want to be?"

Ancient Reading: Matthew 4: 1-11

Modern Reading: from The Discourses by Epictetus
