The Reverend Montgomery has served three Unitarian Universalist churches in the Houston area: Emerson, Bay Area and Thoreau. She is Minister Emerita of the Bay Area UU Church. Sun. Oct 26: Dr. Schulman returns and will deliver the sermon "Servetus' Real Discovery." Michael Servetus was burned at the stake on October 27, 1553--exactly 450 years ago. There began Unitarian history and its plea for reason, tolerance and conscience. Servetus was a fine theologian. He knew his Bible and church history. He wrote a book in 1531 titled "On the Errors of the Trinity" and for that John Calvin had him burned at the stake. Let me tell you about Servetus and the important discoveries he made. Kelley and Anne Sigler will provide the refreshments on Oct. 27. Thank you. ***Also*** October 26 has been designated as Loyalty Sunday. We will try to set a new attendance record by having more than 51 present. Each member is encouraged to invite friends and relatives to attend this meeting. Stuart Williamson assures us that 51 people attended one of our programs in February, 1993. Huntsville UU Women
