Sun. May 9: Our guest speaker will be Peter Durkin, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood
of Houston and Southeast Texas. He will discuss the Planned Parenthood mission and the challenges facing the organization
today.
Sun. May 23: Dr. Schulman's sermon will be "The Search for Truth." “The search for
truth” is an old slogan among Unitarians. Slogans are a kind of shortcut to truth. The phrase, though, is a good one. We'll
think through the implications and you'll see that it opens up a clear road map in our discovery of what life really means. It
provides the beginning of a theology. Thanks for Glen and Kathy Payne for providing cookies for the coffee after the service.
Annual Meeting
Sun. May 2: The annual Huntsville Unitarian business meeting will meet
at the home of Karl and Melissa
Mahaffey at 10:30 a.m. Officers will be elected and a budget established for the coming year. Bring a dish to share and join
us for lunch and business.
Huntsville UU Women
Wed. May 5: The Women's Sharing Circle will continue the study of the UU
curriculum, Cakes for the Queen of Heaven, with Alice Schulman leading a discussion of "The Role of Women in Judaism."
The meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. in the home of Roberta Krock, 3329 Pine Grove Dr.
Wed. May 12: The UU Women will join the Red Hat Society for lunch at
Panchitos Mexican Restaurant in Huntsville at 1:00.
