Huntsville UU Services
Sun. April 10: Our speaker will be Karl Davidson, motivational speaker. The title of his presentation will be "Optimism is a Choice." In today's world, what you think determines what you see, and what you see determines what you get from life…either pain or pleasure. Optimism is a choice when you know how to monitor and direct your daily thoughts. The average person has over 50,000 thoughts per day and these thoughts follow a common thread. What are you thinking? Do you know? It's a choice! "Stinking thinking" is hazardous to your health and happiness. Learn to stop "stinking thinking" in its tracks and replace it with optimism. Optimism is a choice!

Karl Davidson is a communications coach and consultant to business, industry and education. He teaches workshops designed to help human beings jump-start their lives through positive change. He has shared his wit and wisdom with over 18,000 individuals in the last year. Karl is the author of five books and numerous instructional videos. His workshops are designed to create a tickle-attack while providing life-enhancing skills and information.

Sun. April 24: Our speaker will be Don Post and the title of his presentation will be "The Gift of Life: What's It All About, Alfie?" Don E. Post, Ph.D., a former Professor of Sociology/ Anthropology and Dean of the Social and Behavioral Sciences at St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas, is also a Methodist minister. As a writer and lecturer, he has over 30 years experience working in Asia, Latin America, the former Soviet Union and many parts of the Mid-East. He speaks Spanish and Japanese.

"The tragedy of war is so many murdered Mozarts." This quote brings to mind the enduring questions of what is worth dying for and what is worth living for. One of the ironies of life is that people frequently do not consider its value until they are diagnosed with a terminal illness, and then at last they begin to cherish their existence. In this presentation, Dr. Don Post will share his thoughts on the meaning of life.

Sun. May 8: Dr. Frank Schulman plans to return to the pulpit on May 8. His sermon topic will be "Religious Agnosticism."
