Blackhawk

I had mentioned in one of my pages about the Blackhawk that had visited Finthen and how it wasn't like the one that is flying today. I received pictures of this aircraft from Larry Girton. This thing is a cross between a Hind and an Apache, and the then concept Cheyenne. Like I said, I saw it do a barrel roll over a formation of Cobra's the day it was here, very wild helicopter.

Note the tailboom S-67 Blackhawk. I know the current Blackhawk is designated UH-60. The concept and the "as delivered" are different models, but still an interesting look at technology of the day. This aircraft met a tragic end in 1974 at Farnborough.
