"What a Texoma Day" lyrics were added to the beautiful " What a Wonderful Day" by Louis Armstrong and presented to Keith and Jill Lund at a Saturday night sing along at the 1999 Texoma Orienteering Meet.  Keith and Jill have successfully chaperoned the activity since 1982.  The recognition turned out to be more than just a thank you, for little did we know that they had received a promotion and would be leaving the Camp soon.

"What a Wonderful Day", by Louis Armstrong
Lyrics by James Ebb Huggins, Jr.
November 1999

I see Orienteers running by - so graceful, swift, and free.
I can recall - when they were me,
And I say to myself - what a Texoma day.

I see lovely winding trails - in morning dew.
God put them there - for me and for you.
And I say to myself - what a Texoma day.

The majesty of the forest - extending into the sky,
Inspiring all who see it - and causing such a sigh.
I see friends greeting friends - beneath a risen sun,
Encouraging each other - to have a fun run.

I see lots of excitement - and lots of love too,
For all of God's creatures - like me and like you,
And I say to myself - what a Texoma day.
Yes, I say to myself - what a Texoma day.
