This page is dedicated to Blind folks, and the betterment of the lives of the blind. The author, Jim Shaffer, is a member of the National Federation of the Blind. I believe in its basic principle that with the proper training and attitude, blindness need not be a significantly life-altering tragedy as many would have us believe.
Thus this page does not directly link to pages whose primary focus is medical conditions or medical care for the blind. While I recognize such pages are important for those wishing to learn more about aspects of blindness, or those conducting research, once you're blind, get on with it!
