Class Physical Science Projects
Invention (Due October
13th)
You, and up to 2 other classmates, need to design, develop, and build
a unique machine which serves some practical function. The more original and practical your
invention is, the higher your grade will be.
Remember that a good invention is one that makes something in life
easier or better. You will need to bring
your invention to school in order to present it to the class October 13th.
You and your partner also need to design a flyer or create a
commercial advertising your invention, which includes a minimum of the
following items: price, picture(or actual invention if you do the video), title,
slogan, and it’s use. BE CREATIVE!!!
Portfolio (Due January
5th)
- Title
page, artistically decorated by you which shows
things about yourself or the class, & contains your name, the word portfolio, semester, and class.
- Minimum
of one complete page describing what you liked, disliked, would keep the
same, and change about the class. Double-space, 11 pt font, normal margins

page describing your favorite lesson that we did, what you learned, and
why you enjoyed it. Double-space, 11 pt font, normal margins

page describing your least favorite lesson, what we did, why you didn’t
like it, and what you would change. Double-space, 11 pt font, normal

science-related news articles(the articles should
be at least 5 paragraphs each) mounted on construction paper which include
a 1 paragraph summary written by you in your own words. Make sure that you cite(name
of source and date) where you got the article from.

samples of your most impressive pieces of work, along with a 1 paragraph
explanation of why you chose the item.
