Outline Due Dates

Students should outline the following sections in their books by the due dates.  Outlines consist of 1 sentence per paragraph, stating the main idea of that paragraph.  Students should NOT just recopy a sentence from the paragraph.

For example, section 16.1 has 15 paragraphs.  Therefore, the outline for that section should have 15 sentences in the students own words.  Please number sentences consecutively (1-15).  The number of sentences per section is in parenthesis.

A QUIZ will be taken on day outlines are due

PARENTS, please monitor that your child is doing the outlines, because reading the text is a very important tool to doing well in Biology.  In addition, when added together, the quizzes count more than 2 regular test grades!  If they do not do the outlines, they can only receive up to ½ credit.  However, they CAN use the outlines to help them take the quiz.
