I am originally from upstate New York. After attending Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, I lived in New Hampshire for five years while earning my Ph.D. at Dartmouth College. I currently reside in Tyler, TX with my wife (who is also a math professor and Dartmouth Ph.D.), our baby daughter, and our two cats.

Aside from math, I enjoy reading, trivia, doing the New York Times crossword, supporting the Boston Red Sox, and visiting the east coast (especially New Hampshire, Maine, and my wife's home state of Virginia).
