fcc.com (32-bit) is an alternative to fc.com. Its main advantage is
simplicity and speed, at the expense of verbosity and flexibility. It only
outputs one word: "differ", if the files differ. It ends at the first instance
of non-equality, thus possibly saving time scanning the balance of content. It
is NOT longfilename capable! So use available methods to get shortnames to
supply to it (batch: %%~sa, cmd: dir /b /x). It has no options switches.
It sets errorlevel as follows: 0=same, 1=differ, 3=size differ, 2=file-not-found
(al=errorlevel, exit using ah=4c int21)
