Angela Dawn (Sedgwick) Hardy was born in 1961 in Moses Lake, Washington. She lived there until she had finished the first grade in 1968, at which time the family moved to the Philippines to do mission work for the next three years. It wasn't long until she became quite proficient in the language of the children in the neighborhood, and was called on by the family to interpret on several occasions when Filipinos came by for needs.
When we returned to the States in 1971, we lived in Henderson, Texas, where she has lived ever since. Soon after graduating from High School in 1979 she was married to Ricky Paul Hardy. About that time Rick went to work for Texas Utilities, where he has worked and continues to work even today. Also, Rick has trained himself in the use of computers and has been a great help to his father-in-law in his quest to learn to use this medium. Angela went back to college and got a degree in teaching after the children were born, and she has taught in the Carlisle school system for a few years, and has now transferred to the Carthage School System.
Allison, their first child, was born in 1979. She graduated from high school at Carlisle in the spring of 1998. Melissa was born two years later, graduated in 2000. She attended college where she earned her nursing degree, and she continues to work toward higher degrees in order that she might continue teaching nursing at the university level. Melissa is married to Bob Walters, and is the mother of three children, Shelby Leigh, a son, Cooper Joe, and a daughter, Crosbie Hope. See pictures and information about her family at her page.
