DEBRA LYNN HORNSBY

Debbie was born in Crane, Texas a little over a year after her father returned home from Korea. Within just a few days of her birth, the family moved to Grandfalls, Texas, where dad worked in a lumber yard and did some of his early preaching on Sunday evenings.

It was only a few months later that the family moved once again; this time to Rising Star, Texas. Dad preached at Pioneer for the next year or more, but during that time, the family moved to Abilene, Texas where dad enrolled as a student in Abilene Christian College. Then there was the move to Amherst, Texas for about a year and a half. While at Rising Star, brother, Dan, was born, and at Amherst, sister, Cherie, was born.

Debbie started her schooling at Ephrata, Washington, where she attended kindergarten. For the next 8 years her education was continued at Moses Lake. High school and some other schooling was received in the Philippines during the family tour there.

Upon returning to the States in 1971, the family moved to Henderson, Texas. It was there that Debbie met and married Wayne Hornsby. To their union two boys - David and Brian were born. Both of these boys are grown now, and are married.

Wayne drives a truck, and for some time Debbie rode with him. However, she has settled down at home in Henderson now, in a new double-wide, four-bedroom trailer. She is working in the Criminal Justice Treatment Center in Overton, TX.
