He died on 19 January 1928 at St. Anthony Hospital in Rock Island, Rock Island County, IL. He was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Preemption Township, Mercer County, IL. James was a Farmer. He was Catholic.

James Ignatius Mack and Matilda "Tillie" Kehoe were married on 28 November 1900 at St. Joseph Church in Rock Island, Rock Island County, IL. Matilda "Tillie" Kehoe was born on 2 September 1877 in Milan, Rock Island County, IL. She died on 2 September 1911 in Illinois. She was buried on 4 September 1911 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Preemption Township, Mercer County, IL. Tillie was a Homemaker. She was Catholic. Mildred Kehoe, married to John Michael Mack, was Matilda's twin sister. Known as "Tillie". Mercer Co. Death Certificate #2862, Book R2.
