Mae Baker
Mae H. Baker, 88, of Aledo, formerly of Millersburg, died
Monday, Mar. 10, 1986 at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home, Aledo.
Private graveside services will be held under the direction of
the Fippinger Funeral Home, Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Aledo Cemetery.
Rev. William Petrillo, Messiah Lutheran Church, Aledo will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
The former Mae Lacy was born Nov. 30, 1897 in Green Park, PA, a
daughter of Jesse F. and Susan Elizabeth Rhoads Lacy. She came to
Millersburg with her parents in 1908 and attended the Millersburg and
Aledo Schools. She received nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
She married Everett G. Baker in Chicago, IL on May 28, 1926. They
lived in Chicago until moving to Millersburg in 1945 due to Mr. Baker's
health. He died in 1949.
She was employed as a nurses aid at Mercer County Hospital from
1950 to 1963 and also was a parttime employee at the Mercer County
Nursing Home.
She is survived by two step-grandchildren.
